What is the G8 and G20?

The G8 — or Group of 8 — is an annual forum of the leaders from eight of the world’s largest economies: Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The G20 includes these eight countries, as well as Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, and a representative from the European Union. Conflict Between Plenty & Hungry

I really enjoy cooking; it is one of my hobbies.  I love the thrill of making a new recipe and not knowing what will really happen, but trusting it will come out alright.  I bake for fun, and often consume for fun.

Yet there are times when I feel guilty about my enjoyment of food and freedom to make whatever, whenever.  This guilt comes from knowing that others around the globe don’t have the ability to open a cupboard and be bombarded with food like I do.  It comes from statistics like 925 million people experience hunger on a daily basis, and the reality that I am not one of them.  I’ve learned that this conflict between my reality and the world’s reality is uncomfortable, but good.
