The woman selling fresh veggies and fruit at the Farmer’s Market stand next to me didn’t speak much English and I didn’t speak Hmong. I was working at a bakery that summer and this became the first of many goodies passed back and forth every Wednesday morning as we sold our wares. (more…)

Meet the ACT:S + Micro Cambodia Team!
posted by ACT:S June 25th, 2012
This week, the ACT:S team and 6 highly talented students (our version of The Avengers) left for Cambodia! Along with World Vision Micro, the team will be exploring how a Micro loan can help families stay together and protect their children from child labor and trafficking. Upon their return, these students will begin to formulate what a Micro loan campaign would look like for ACT:S advocates! We’ll be updating you on their adventures through next week via our blog, Facebook, and Twitter. Stay tuned, and in the mean time– meet the team!
