This fall, ACT:S is organizing around global injustices and using these issues as lenses to discover how our faith and justice interact.
James 2:15-17 challenges us to live an active faith, saying: “..faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” Let’s not live a “dead” faith. We have opportunities as followers of Jesus and as global citizens, to advocate for, and actually help, our global brothers and sisters. Will you join us in living an ACT:IVE faith?
How will a community of 30,000 young people act:ivate around these injustices? We’re so glad you asked…

1. RALLY: Get together with a small group within your local community – a dorm floor, a small group, sports team, etc – and rally them around a specific issue (AIDS, malaria, microloans, or trafficking) you are passionate about, you’ll use this issue as a lens to understand how faith and justice connect in an ACT:IVE faith.
2. EQUIP: Sign up to get started. We’ll connect you with ACT:IVE resources, like a Bible study guide, issue-specific kits, and information about how to engage with other ACT:IVE groups within the ACT:S network also rallying around your issue.

3. ENGAGE: We’ll connect you to a larger community with other leaders to get access to experts, facts, and related news. Use these resources to audaciously challenge your local groups.

4. ACT:IVATE: Living an ACT:IVE faith doesn’t stop after completing a bible study. Get creative! Take action on your issue virtually, physically, verbally, and everything in between. Your passion for connecting faith and justice is contagious, and has the power to create real change for your specific issue.
