You’ve seen the ads and articles coming out about ACT:IVE, our new campaign in partnership with InterVarsity.  But, you might still have some questions about how all of this works or how your group is going to benefit from being a part of it.  Here are four ways that ACT:IVE will take your team to the next level.  Working through it will:

1. Unite you around a purpose.  My hunch is that if you’re reading this, you want to do more than hang out, eat pizza, and get decent grades in college.  You want to do something different.  But to do that, your group will need to have a purpose and a goal.  You’ll need to have an audacious dream that you’re working towards.

2. Help you outline steps to achieve that purpose.  Without a plan, it’s easy to get sidetracked and let the dream fade away.  ACT:IVE will help you think and pray through how to let your faith become contagious to every area of your life as you pursue God’s dreams.

3. Identify roles and strengths in your group.  Every good team knows who is playing what position.  In the same way, taking the time to identify the strengths and talents in your group—and how they work together—will help you plan more effectively and know how to encourage each other better.

4. Set you up to make a bigger impact.  When your team has a goal, a plan, and a purpose for each member, other people are going to start noticing as you live that out.  Thinking through how your group’s faith is going to have a social impact can motive and prepare you to invite others into God’s plan.
